This place is truly heaven on earth for me and my kids. Thank you ! Thank you !Thank You. If you have kids that are 6 or younger do not go anywhere ells but Giggles N Hugs. You will never feel out of place when you go out to eat with your kids.

I have two kids. A 3 year old girl and a 5 year old boy. We had heard about Giggles N Hugs from a friend who could not stop talking about this place who was insisting that we go and try it. so i called my best friend and her kids and we all went.

Let me start by saying that they have the best and most nutritious food for kids of any restaurant i have been to. You can even sneak veggies into your child's favorite food. They have daily entertainment for kids. Last Sunday they had a group called TWINKLE TIME who is very similar to Doodle bops that performed for an hour as all the kids sang and danced and were mesmerized by the show.

The play area is huge and extremely clean. They had everything a kid could imagine in the play area and more. The staff was genuinely nice and welcoming. I had gone on a play date with my best friend and her kids and i swear we did not speak to any of our kids for two hours as they played, sang, danced, got their faces painted while we enjoyed each others company and gossiped. It was like being out for a ladies night without the kids. To top it all off out of the blue, a beautiful Cinderella came out and took pictures with all the kids and played the parachute game as everyone went into a frenzy.

As i said before, eating out with my kids will never be the same. You must try this incredible Restaurant/play center and see for yourself what Giggles N Hugs is all about. You will thank me later.

I am a mother 4 year old twins. I had been looking for a place like giggles N Hugs since my kids turned 1. This place is truly magical. There is no where in town where i can go with my kids and eat some of the best food i have ever tasted and have my kids play at the same time. I go and turn on my laptop as they have WIFI and get my work done while my kids have the time of there life. As i said the food is great and healthy as they sneak veggies into kids favorite foods. I had a Beet Salad that was as good as if not better than the one i got at Spagos. The staff is unbelievably friendly and the entire place is so beautiful with murals of Mermaids, Tigers and Dinosaurs all over the walls. The play area was filled with all kinds of toys , rides and video games for kids including a Nintendo WII. We got there around 2pm on Friday with only about 10 families there. The Beautiful girls in the play area did some face painting (for FREE i might add) and played games with my twins and the other kids. At about 3pm they asked all the kids to come out of the play area for 20 minutes while they sanitized and cleaned the entire play area. Once they allowed everyone back in we got a chance to meet and take pictures with A few characters in costume ( Mickey and Minnie surprised us). It was magical. We had so much fun that my twins decided that they wanted to stay for Disco night which is every Friday night at 6pm. I have never written a review before but we had so much fun and this place is so great that i had to take the time to let you all know on this and other sites. I also wrote the same review on Yelp to let all the parents know about this incredible oasis for parents with toddlers.

Just got back from this place & it's awesome!! I told the manager I was going to go on all the websites that I usually check & write a review! I did get dessert on the house, for honesty's sake!! I do think it's b/c I went on and on about how AWESOME this place is. It was my first time and we had so much fun! My kids enjoyed a mini concert by a great kids singer. My husband and I ate the BEST panini and chinese chicken salad. The place was SO clean and the play area girl assured me they sanitize throughout the day. Especially b/c of the flu season. I REALLY had a great time and I will definitely be a regular now. My kids absolutely did not want to leave, which to me is what it's all about. The fact that my husband and I TRULY enjoyed our dinner AND got to have a great conversation, while the kids played, was definitely icing on the cake. The staff REALLY was extraordinary. Everybody was smiling and helpful. These days, that means a lot, esp. when you have young kids. I refuse to go places that aren't happy to see me! You could tell that everybody that worked there, from the bus boy to the cashier, REALLY loved kids. Adam (the manager), you will be seeing me A LOT!!!!

All I can say is...where have you been all my life?? I just went to this place Saturday night. I couldn't believe there wasn't a line outside! It was fantastic! I went with my 2 boys, 2 and 6. My wife was on call that night, so I thought I'd try it out. I had the best panini and my boys ate all their pasta (they shared). I spent something like $20 total and there was even a puppet show!! I couldn't believe it!! I was in freakin heaven. The kids had a BLAST, I ate GREAT food, and I paid $20!! We were there for like 3 hours! I have a celebrity friend who raves about this place & he's in NY filming, but I actually called him from this place to let him know I had FINALLY gone & that I seriously owed him big time!! BEST referral I ever had. Anyways, I really enjoyed myself, the staff was beyond friendly. I felt like I was in Disneyland. I was absolutely compelled to write a review & let other parents know what they might be missing. And my wife is a doctor & was VERY happy when I reported to her that the entire place was SANITIZED constantly! They had hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE & everyone has to clean their hands before entering the restaurant. Obviously, with this flu, it really set my mind at ease. At least they are aware and doing something about it. I went to a play place in the Valley with a ball pit!!! My wife was literally having a panic attack, saying those things are SWIMMING with germs and there's NO way to clean them. Anyways, if you want a place that's clean and fun for your kids with great food, you should definitely check this place out. The staff is awesome!!

I was really excited to try G&H. I knew going in that they were a little over priced($8 for a grilled cheese sandwich plus an extra $9 to go in the play area), but I was willing to pay it to check the place out. In my opinion it is like eating at a food court with a play area. The toys are worn, the food is average and there are a bunch of bratty kids whose parents won't discipline them. When we went, my son had a broken leg. A boy and a girl who at least a year older than him kept picking on him and taking toys from him. When I stepped in, I saw a woman(who I assume was their mother) watching the whole thing and glaring at me. The staff tried to discipline those same kids a few times around my son and others, but it didn't take. After leaving, I felt an uncontrollable urge to clean and sanitize my kids because the play area felt grungy. I question the standards of some of these 5* reviewers. I can see how they might say the place is passable on cleanliness, but to call it immaculate is a flat out joke.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Forget how munch my little ones enjoy it. I get to chill with the laptop while my kids are looked after by the friendliest staff ever. Even the bus boys are kind and considerate. The owners Joey and Dorsa are my kind of people. And last but not least......the freakin' food is fantastic. I've paid more money for food that was no where near as delicious and reasonably priced than this place. Very impressed.

I had a lot of expectations because their website looks awsome. I went on a saturday night. Oh my gosh, I was horrified. There were kids everywhere. There was this rollar coaster slide thing that is running through the middle of the room so if you have a young child who is not paying attention then there is an accident waiting to happen. Another thing that horrified me was that all the other indoor play areas that I have gone too require socks, but not here!! There was tons of adults with bare feet on their cell phones not paying attention to their children. Plus I believe most of the toys that they had were broken or dirty. Also the restrooms are so smelly and messy. I will never go back here again. I truly felt that these people were here to rake in the cash without any regard for any of the children that play there.

I can't imagine how any parent could give this place a bad review! The owners/managers are extremely friend and experienced parents, and it shows. The atmosphere here is very lively, happy and kid-friendly. My son has such a good time every time we are there. This is a great place for parents to go together to have a nice meal (the food is excellent) and not have to worry about their kids making too much noise. I have not seen anything like this anywhere!

WOW!!!! This place is incredible!!! It doesn't get any better than this. The food is FLAWLESS. The setup is IMMACULATE!! The service is FIRST CLASS. Good luck getting your kids to leave this place....it's that good.

Sooo, 2 weeks ago I completely panicked because we had over 40 people RSVP'ed for my son's 3rd birthday party with a forecast of cold weather & impending rain. Our original plan was to have my son's party at Clover Park, but had to secure an indoor venue last minute. Giggles N Hugs Children's Restaurant was recommended. I spoke with one of the owners, Joey, who was patient, kind, thorough & amazing. He took care of all the food (amazingly ordered the exact amount we needed!), made appropriate suggestions & handled everything with ease over the phone. He was available when I needed him, which relieved a ton of anxiety & stress. The day of we dropped off our fire truck themed partyware & they did all of the set-up, organization & decorating, which was better than I even pictured it & I am Ms. control/anal. The food was delicious, the restaurant was immaculate, the staff was attentive, happy to be there, & exceptionally helpful. The kids had a blast, the adults had a wonderful time & I was beyond pleased! I really can't say enough good things about the experience. We feel like we've discovered a new gem & can't wait to go back for playtime & the food. We're even thinking about having my other son's 1st birthday party there :)Just wanted to let everyone know how positive this experience was - thank you very much Joey!!!! P.S. The owner is soo great that he actually cancelled a golf game to be there to make sure that everything ran smoothly & that I was happy - talk about customer service!

OMG what a great place to take your family!My Kids loved it and the food was amazing. The staff there is incredible, the girls in charge of the playground are very friendly and great with kids. My kids loved all the attention they received. We will definitely go back!!

I was in your restaurant with my little girl the other day. The set up is beautiful, the food healthy and satisfying and my baby played until they were getting ready to close the facility.
A great place with great people!

The owner and manager are outright rude and unprofessional. They should not be in a business that iinvolvs kids. Last week there employee was mopping a spot in the play area with water and soap. She left the area WET, with no signs or closing the area off. My 13 month daughter walked in the area and slipped. Thankfully nothing happened to her.

We have been many times to G&H as we live nearby. I do agree with many of the reviews on price and rudeness. It is pricey and the staff can be downright unhelpful to pissy (the manager can be the rudest of the bunch I have observed--so he isn't setting an example for his staff). But the space and entertainers they hire are great and the concept is smart. It's good for once in awhile but some things I have observed and seen while there, as a semi-regular, I can't give as effusive review as some. My child loves it there, but with the staff and price, we aren't die-hard regulars.

The murals are beautiful, the staff is very friendly and the play area is large and well stocked with toys and ride-ons. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have anything to climb on or any kind of bouncer or slide like Child's Play and Under the Sea, but for the under five set it's probably fine. (my five year old had fun, but seemed a bit too old for most of it.) The food was okay, but too expensive. Overall it was a nice time.

We stopped by today for a late lunch. At first I was turned off by the high price- lunch for one adult and 1 child and play for 2 kids came out to $36. However, we ended up spending two pleasant hours playing there and no one got bored. They have beautiful decor and the food tasted good (they have organic selections and will add sneak-in veggies to the sauces). There was a great selection of toys, costumes, arts and crafts, and even video games. The staff was friendly enough, but not remarkable. I would definitely recommend the place to friends.

Finally We find the restaurant for kids that have healthy food and the place for play, we are really happy to find Giggles n'hugs.

I have not visited this place yet, but when I called to inquire about the place and the services, the person who answered the phone was very rude. This turned me off and made me not want to visit this place

Everyone is very friendly, giving the feeling of a warm family environment, with a colorful set up and lots of toys and costumes for the kids. The food is reasonably priced and delicious, healthy things for the kids and mmm mmm salads for me! I am a fan! And so are my kids :)

I'm Russian who happened to visit LA. We were at the Grand opening of Giggles 'n' Hugs. My daughter loved it a lot (except for the exhaustingly loud music which volume implied that it's time to go home. She mentioned this cafe many times after the event. So one boring Monday night we came back. To my great relief there was no more music and there was an extremely friendly and polite guy who entertained kids in the play area. Shame on me but as a foreigner I didn't know that it's against law to leave my children for 15 minutes with a kind of people that guy belonged to. I left my pair of kids with him asking if it was all right and if he was able to keep an eye on them while I dropped in the neighbouring Whole foods. He reassured me everything would be all right, explained in details how to get to the Whole Foods and I left. When I came back another guy who I saw at the Opening and realised he was a manager briskly came up to me. In an accusing manner he said that never ever I should leave my kids here no matter for how long. When I tried to explain to him that I'm a foreigner and awfully sorry for that cross-cultural misunderstanding and that the entertaining guy agreed and showed no doubts, I was immediately interrupted. The manager's words were: "I DO NOT care what you agreed about!!! You DO NOT want your kids to stay here, never ever!!!" After that I felt like a notorious criminal and a guilty schoolgirl at the same time. The manner of his interaction with me was a kind of "teacher-pupil" style. I realised that I did something really bad in American terms. I'm sorry, but still think that it's not nice to interrupt people, is it? Or it's just another law in the USA???

I am so happy I can go somewhere that my kids will leave me alone so I can eat in peace. They constantly nag or want something every other minute until we get there and then they don't bother me anymore. I can eat my healthy salad in peace. When it's almost time to go I feed them their favorite chicken, pasta, and pizza. They have so much fun there and I get a much needed break. It's a win-win situation.

We finally made it over to Giggles n Hugs last Sunday for lunch and loved it. The play area is clean and spacious and kept my 3 year old entertained for the two hours we were there. The food was absolutely declicious. My favorite Chinese chicken salad in town and the best thin crust pizza! My very picky boy ate almost an entire pizza by himself. I was amazed! I also found the staff to be very accomodatng and nice. The girl who worked in the play area was very sweet and the kids loved her. I'm so glad that I was able to experience it first hand after hearing so many great things about it.

This is a great play area for kids and the food is good but the owner and management are so extremely rude and unprofessional that they completely ruined the experience. What could have been a small misunderstanding escalated into a fight when the owner and manager verbally asaulted my friend and I when we sat our kids in the restaurant area to give them some snacks we had brought from home. They made a big stink about this being a restaurant and us not being allowed to bring snacks to the table. Even after we apologized and left the table, the owner followed us to the play area and had the nerve to yell at us in front of other customers and call us liars. In short, I was treated like a criminal and will never go back.

We got the coupon to try the play area for free, so we drove all the way from West Covina, and feel that it was still worth it. The play area and girls that help with the kids in the play area are fantastic, one of the best I've seen with a great assortment of things for the little kids(only please get erasable markers cause my one and half yr old totally marked up shirt-no big deal though). Even though it's cheap (2.50 with validation for 4 hours I believe)I personally don't like valet parking cause we have to unpack alot of kids and stuff while people waiting in small parking lot. But great place. The chicken tenders (I think 9.95 with fries)were great, and they really hooked us up on the fries (which I asked), cause it is kind of expensive for most people I know, and the grilled cheese (7.95 with fries) was just barely ok. I know that's how they make their money though, but to pay that plus the $9 entry fee for the play area, gets a lil' steep for most working families. Adult size mac n cheese plus most everything else is $9.95. But we would still like to go back as soon as we are able. Just have to save up-because this time I don't have the free coupon for play area. And I know it's our kids, and the kids we brought, but they constantly open the lil' gate near all the scattered shoes where the play area meets the tables for the lil' restaurant area (which is right by front door and kids could walk out-as one I saw starting to, if not 100% watched every minute), and kept coming out, so might take whatever on their socks back into play area, and didn't get chance to relax. Alot of people had nannies with the kids, so maybe they can afford and relax. What a blessing for them. I do wish we had one out here closer in the San Gabriel Valley. And some of my comments are mentioned so maybe they can change some things to make better, cause I told them I was gonna review.

So we checked out Giggles n Hugs for the first time. We really like Giggles n Hugs for our kid. Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, the inside is decorated well, with lots of natural light and imagination. Everything is new, the staff is very kid friendly, and our daughter had a real blast. We've tried so many places in and around town, and so far, this one is our favorite. It's freeway close, and has valet parking.

What a great place! Had my daughter's first birthday there the morning of April 5th and couldn't be more satisfied. The owner and management went out of their way to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. The food was unbelievable, everyone devoured it! One of the best pizza's in town, as well as the best chicken tenders, i could go on and on. The play area was extremely fun for the kids and very clean. They definitely enjoyed themselves. Silly Sally made the birthday even more fun with the creative balloons and magic show she performed. The kids aslo enjoyed the face painting and other games in the area. I would recommend this restaurant (100 %) to everyone. What else would any parent want. Such a clean, friendly and fun atmosphere, in addition to great healthy food. See you there real soon!

As a mother of a very active two and half year old boy, this is the first place I have been to in which i can relax and eat in peace while my son is having a blast and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere of this great restaurant and play area. The food is very yummy and healthy too. Though a long way from our home in burbank, the trek is worth every mile of travel for the warmth and hospitality offered by the terrific staff.

For our first childrens restaurant experience, we couldn't have asked for anything more! our 2 year old really took to the warmth of the staff and the toys and games that were offered exceptionally. Further, the food was not only healthy which is a priority for us, but really simple. The pizza especially was perfect and very child friendly as far as food goes and our son adores it! Great job giggles n hugs and thx for a fun and safe place to take our son.

Then take them to Giggles n' Hugs... Let's face it, there are not that many places you can go with childern under 5, and not worry about their behavior... This place has great food (even for grown-ups, excellent salads, sandwiches and pizza), big roomy play area, and it's on the westside... Ideal for afterwork and playdates. I met up with girlfriends and had the kids play there until they were falling asleep, and they still did not want to leave. I hope you enjoy the place as much as we did.

If you guys want to save money and relax, just stay home!!! Considering the location and the quality of the food and service the price is VERY reasonable. Furthermore, this place is for kids to have fun and for parents to enjoy their kids having fun... if you want a relaxing atmosphere, get a babysitter and go have your romantic candlelight dinner...

This is the first restaurant I have gone to where I have actually THANKED the owners for opening up such a place. I am now a regular at this one-of-a-kind restaurant. My friends and I took our kids there for dinner, and after a while, we noticed that it was the first time in years we have gone to dinner anywhere without the kids jumping all over us! The kids have a blast at this place, as it is made for them - there is a large play area with all different kinds of activities, and kids get to play while parents get to have their one peaceful meal of the day. Obviously we all love our children, but it is nice to be able to go to a place where you can rest, have a good meal and have your kids really enjoy themselves as well. And the food is excellent too - by now, I have had almost everything on the menu, and it is all good - excellent salads, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and other fare, with their creative "Mom's Tricky Treat," where they sneak healthy foods into their meals. If you have children around the ages of 10 or under, this is absolutely a must-go experience, and you will not find another place like it anywhere! Pros: Great for kids, great food, great ambience, delightful owners. Cons: NONE !

I absolutely love this place. There is nothing like it in the entire city of LA. Where else could you go and get a healthy and delicious meal for you and your family, while the kids have a blast playing in their clean and spacious play area? It's what all of us parents have been waiting for. I found the staff to be very sweet and accomodating as well. I also went to a b-day party there for my friend's 4 year old girl and it was wonderful. It's such a great addition to the neighborhood!

Horrible service, completely unorganized. Not only are you paying for over-priced grilled cheese sandwichs but in addition you have to pay to get into the play area! For our family (2 adults, 2 year old and 7 month old) we ended up paying over $50 to eat. Plus, several of the "extras" they had walking around to entertain would not give us the same treatment as they gave other customers. We will never go back.

Than this is NOT the place! BUT if you are looking for your kids to have a great time, then go, Go, GO!!! My friend and I took our kids there hoping to be able to talk while we watched our kids play. They played great, but the overall environment is so over-stimulating that between the blasting Barney, the too-loud Telletubbies and the wild Wiggles, we couldn't get a word in edge wise, let alone hold a conversation. However, in their defense, the place is set up great for child play. Food was average, nothing to brag about.

Off the bat I want to say what happened to us was a genuine mistake, but the treatment I received after the incident occurred has given them a one star in my book. We went there on Friday morning with our 11 month old to have some breakfast. The entry staff and bus boy's were fantastic. Our son liked the play area as well. Soon a busboy came over to us in the play area to tell us our food was ready and on the table. We proceeded to eat our food when about 5 minutes in I saw that a half eaten lollipop stick was laying in the salad. I called over the busboy who looked concerned and started talking in Spanish with the woman sitting behind us. Little did he know I speak spanish. He proceeded to tell her that her son had mistaken our table for trash (I really don't know why) and had placed his chewed up stick in our food. Then he took the plate over to the manager/owner. The owner came over holding the plate and said "So what's the problem?". I didn't want to rat out the busboy because I thought the woman might be his girlfriend and I didn't want him to get fired over such a minor mishap. I told him that there was a lollipop stick in our food. He asked me "and it's not his?", pointing to my 11 month old. When I told him no he walked off. He came back and said well are you sure it's not yours I mean we don't allow food in our kitchen. He was so RUDE and demeaning. Constantly implying that we were lying. When my husband asked him if that was what he was implying he backed down and apologized and returned our money. When he came back he apologized again and said that the busboy told him it was the ladies child behind us who had done it. I didn't want to raise a fuss but we felt forced to by the owner's brazen and very unprofessional behavior. To loudly accuse patrons of lying and doing something sneaky without properly investigating the situation is so disrespectful. So like I said mistakes happen and if he had just returned the money for the one dish and apologized it would have been fine but his attitude has made me vow never to go back and to inform mom's about the way you and your loved ones may be treated.

There aren't too many reviews of this restaurant yet, not too surprising since it is so new. We went on a Friday night, it was jammed pack full of kids around 6pm. I agree with other accounts that the staff and owner/manager were all very nice. The food was really, really quite good. In terms of the toys and setup, it seemed best geared for 2 year olds (plus or minus a year). Some 5 and 6 year olds might find it a bit limiting except for when they have the live entertainment like during disco night which is Fridays. (expect fun with conga lines, hokey pokey etc.) My daughter's favorite thing was the balloon artist who made her a terrific balloon hat (for a tip). Yes, the food and playground fee can make it seem a bit expensive, but when you realize that you're there for roughly 90 min - 2hours and your kids are having great fun eating and playing, it's actually reasonable.

We attended the grand opening celebration last night. We were greeted by Mickey Mouse at the door as well as Superman and Cinderella in the play area. The kitchen kept up with the demand despite the large number of people who showed up all at once. The food is healthy and reasonably priced. Their thin crust pizzas are amazing!! The kids loved the play area, especially the disco night theme with a live DJ. This is a great place for family meals and a natural place for private birthday parties in the west side.
