about Girls Rock! Chicago:

Girls Rock! Chicago is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping girls and young women learn to create rock and roll and promote their bands, as well as make friends and develop a strong, DIY attitude. The organization offers a yearly Chicago Rock Camp for Girls, a week-long summer day camp where girls ages 9-16 receive instrument instruction in bass, guitar, and drums through hands-on workshops, as well as the chance to perform in a band with other girls throughout the city of Chicago.
