As the manager I want and seek your input to correct a situation that is not part of our policy or procedure. The City requires us to enforce their policy of only golfers on the course. We do have regulars, but they have no preference of starting times. We are a first come first serve course. I was playing the course recently and had overheard an employee tell someone that they had to pay to walk the course with a playing group... I then heard him organize a private outing for regulars and told some walk ons that the course was not available so that his regulars could play for money on this public course... Get real... Try providing service without the attitude...

Golden Gate Golf was filled with kids about 3 years ago. The Lincoln Golf Course on 34th & Clement seems to have a better program for kids who can already play a bit.

My kids love coming here to learn and play golf. They can't wait to come here each week.

Bruce teaches my son not only about golf, but about manners, integrity, and thinking before you speak or act. The after-school program runs each day of the week -- my kid goes once a week. GG Park Junior Golf is a terrific place. I highly recommend it.

I'm a 25 year resident of San Francisco. Upon my revisit to the Golden Gate Course I could hardly recognize the place...ABSOLUTELY RENEWED...cared for fairways, greens that are well-maintained and BEST OF ALL, a former PGA pro named Bruce who runs the place and has seeded my 7 year old son's love for the game. This course/after-school program I'd highly recommend to any parent and also a testament to how privatizing a former run-down sh-t hole it in SF can be revitalized so we SFers can bring our kids & families and have fun with a game & enjoy some well-groomed natural beauty......these guys deserve HUGE credit for the sweat they put into reviving this course and program.

The Golden Gate Park Golf program was thriving at one point. The program is probably still okay for very beginning golfers.

Golden Gate Park has a good junior program afterschool and on Saturdays. Keith is one of the instructors, and he is beyond terrific with kids!
