This a friendly and welcoming place where they have no nonsense swimming lessons that teach the children how to be safe in the water, save themselves if they are struggling as well as strokes. My kids ages 3, 5, and 7 loved the classes. We did the Jumpstart for one week for 1/2 hour a day. They either could not swim or were weak swimmers and now they are confident swimmers. I loved it and we are doing another Jumpstart clinic in June.
We love Goldfish. My daughter (5 yrs) has loved every minute of every lesson and summer clinic. The instructor are great. My daughter's swim skills have improved quickly. The water is warm and inviting and the building is clean, attractive and child friendly. The observation window is another bonus. Fees are a little higher, but well worth it! We wouldn't go anywhere else!
My son love it.Year and half ago (he was 6) he totally refused to go to any swim school because at other center he was treated rough. Then someone referred Goldfish, and after couple of lessons he started looking forward for his next class. Goldfish the environment is very friendly and comfortable for kids.
My son loves Goldfish! In 5 weeks, he went from refusing to putting his face in water to swimming across the pool. It is amazing the difference good instruction makes!
We have been swimming at Goldfish for almost two years. The instructors are wonderful. They do everything they can to make your child comfortable in the water. We had some weeks when the kids didn't want to go, or wouldn't put their face in the water. The instructors were patient and made it fun for the kids. The owners and staff are very accommodating. My daughter will only swim with female teachers. It has never been a problem. My daughter used to be afraid of the water and now she is a great swimmer. The kids look forward to every lesson.
My 2 year old was in a class of three children. From her 1st day she sat next to a child who screamed, begged for his mother and cried through every lesson while everyone ignored him and just pulled him around in the water. They have a "cry it out" policy. The idea is that the child will stop after 3 days. This poor boy did NOT and scared the other 2 children as well. After a few classes my daughter (who had always LIVED for the water) begged to not go back. She told me they would "pull" her under the water. I promised her that it would never happen again, and that if she went back and at least put her feet in the water I'd be happy. I told the school what happened and to please respect her wishes and wait till she was ready. She did go back in the pool again and within 2 minutes of her agreeing to go in, the instructor PULLED her UNDER the water again. Needless to say she was very upset and so was I! It took months for her to feel comfortable in the water again, and almost 2 years later she refuses to take swimming lessons anywhere. And they would not give one cent of their ridiculously bloated fee back!!!
