about Granite Park:

Sitting at the base of the Wasatch Mountains, Granite Park offers a playground, with a bark base, that boasts eight slides, three towers, simple stairs, and plenty of things to climb on, as well as a fenced off duck pond and a walking path for the exercise enthusiast. Sports fans can make use of a sand volleyball pit, horseshoe pits, and grassy areas (also great for kite flying). An equestrian trail, which takes horse and rider up to the base of the mountains, runs along the side of the park. Take a blanket and have a picnic on the lawn, or find some shade under the covered pavilion, which may also be rented for $50 (contact Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation at the number listed above). The restrooms are well kept and clean, there is no changing station.
