about Grant Park:

Grant Park, the oldest and second largest park in Atlanta, is a 144 acre park near the site of the battle of Atlanta. Old Fort Walker, a new playground, picnic areas, a public pool, and miles of scenic trails are found in this park.

Nearby attractions include Zoo Atlanta and Atlanta Cyclorama.

getting there:

I-75/85 South to I-20 East; take first exit - Boulevard/Cyclorama/Zoo; turn right at top of exit ramp; go to second traffic light and turn right into parking area. The parking area is situated on a hillside with four levels for parking. If you are bound for the Zoo or Cyclorama, follow the walking path down the hill and turn left at the bottom of the hill.
