About Great Explorations the Children's Museum
Great Explorations - winner of our 2008 and 2009 Parents' Picks award for best museum in the Tampa area - strives to stimulate learning through creativity, play and exploration.
The museum's permanent exhibit space is chock full of interactive displays that allow kids to role-play and step into grown-up worlds. They can shop for nutritious food in a child-sized market, experience the life as a firefighter, learn what it takes to be a veterinarian in a kid-oriented animal hospital, and more. Kids can also play with hands-on exhibits that teach scientific and other educational lessons.
Kids from kindergarten through grade 5 can take part in the museum's summer camp programs. Detailed class information and registration forms are available online.
Great Exploration's Early Learning Institute provides a fully licensed preschool program for ages two to five featuring low teacher to child ratio, state-of-the-art classrooms, and more. Call for additional details.
The museum also offers an after school program from 2:30pm-5:30pm featuring homework assistance and tutoring, arts and music enrichment, physical education and recreation, and more.

- The girls in the gift shop are really rude and don't really understand what the meaning of customer service is, what do you expect from 13 and 14 years olds running a gift shop and entrance to muse
