Greater Miami Youth Symphony552

The Greater Miami Youth Symphony, founded as the All-Miami Youth Symphony by Robert Strassburg, was created to foster a love of music in young people and to enrich the cultural life of the community.

GMYS is an independent four-level orchestra program dedicated to training young musicians between ages five and 18. Conceived as a complementary facet to musical instruction in the schools, GMYS has continuously succeeded in presenting high caliber performances to South Florida audiences.

Summer Camp classes are available for beginning-, intermediate-, and advanced-level students. Auditions or an invitation are required for participation in advanced cummer classes; a teacher recommendation is necessary for intermediate students. See the symphony website for additional details.
