A local favorite, the Greek Souvlaki has been serving up delicious Greek food to the masses in the downtown area since 1972. It has recently branched out, with restaurants now in West Valley and Murray too. Food selections include gyros (lamb or vegetarian), souvlaki, beefteki, hamburgers, fish sandwiches, fries, onion rings, fried zucchini, fried mushrooms, dolmathes, spinach pie, baklava, and rice pudding. Lunch/dinner items range in price from $2.89 to $7.15. Expect to leave with a very full belly! A children's menu is available featuring a choice of a grilled cheese pita, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, or spaghetti. Most children's selections are served with fries or rice and a kid-size drink, and the cost is $3.49. The atmosphere is casual, so kids fit right in. Orders can be called in ahead of time, but the line typically isn't too bad, and once ordered, the wait for food is only about five to ten minutes. Guests can dine in or carry out.
