Oxnard's interactive Gull Wings Children's Museum is a hidden gem in Ventura County. The museum is divided into areas, including highlights like a touch tank full of starfish and other local tidepool dwellers, a room of rocks, fossils, and other geological finds, a campsite with a tent and faux campfire, and a medical area all ready for surgery.

Kids can indulge in make-believe in a puppet theater or dress-up area, drive a pretend car, truck, or ambulance, and explore an antique doll house. There are even some live animals and bugs.
