The Gwendolyn E. Coffield Community Center offers open gym activities, arts and crafts, exercise/leisure classes, group support meetings and socials, area and county-wide sports programs, family special events, after school programs, a playground, programs for individuals with disabilities, holiday parties for children, volunteer opportunities and more. Numerous classes for babies and toddlers are held at the center, including Baby Signs by Maureen, Abrakadoodle, Spanish language, music, and Funfit.
Indoor facilities include a gymnasium, exercise/weight room, two conference rooms, art room, game room, community lounge, and social hall. The outdoor area includes a grassy field, a playground, softball/baseball field, soccer field, tennis court, and a basketball court, all of which are maintained by the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission.
