9/11-11/25 - Linvilla Orchards' annual Pumpkinland Harvest Festival includes more 100 tons of pumpkins on display, costumed character appearances, straw bale and corn mazes, hayrides, train and pony rides, and face painting. Delaware County

9/17-11/6 - The Terror Behind the Walls frightfest at Eastern State Penitentiary - best suited for older kids and adults - offers a milder scare on Family Nights. Center City

9/17-11/6 - Field of Screams serves up various degrees of Halloween scare during weekends throughout the holiday season, including Corn Cob Acres, a non-scary family area featuring games, rides, face painting, and other activities. Lancaster County

9/24-10/31 - On weekends in October, Dorney Park transforms into a giant Halloween playground for Boo! Blast, an event featuring costume contests, trick-or-treating, mask-making crafts, a pumpkin patch, storytelling, a bale maze, and more. Boo! 10/8-10/31 - Throughout October, Six Flags Great Adventure offers a wide variety of Halloween-themed rides, shows, and attractions during Fright Fest. Daytime activities are non-scary and perfect for young children; the fright factor increases considerably after dark. New Jersey
