I have been riding with this company for over 20 years this is by far the best location and trail system ever the place is wonderful and the ride was great as always ! But now you get to ride on the beach ( WOW ) how great is that ! Thank you Happy Trails for a great time and a great place see you again soon !

Concept amazing. Staff friendly but assume you know what you are doing. Ride on beach much too short. Video said an hour, we were lucky if we were there 20 minutes including a brief photo opportunity. Nothing like the video, which makes you think you are frolicking in the waves with your horse and galloping on the shore. My horse was dodging getting its hooves wet everytime the waves came up and scurried for dry land. For novice riders this may be way to long of a ride. Be prepared for sore tailbones! Be prepared you will be riding through an area just to this side of Mexico. The area was teaming with border patrol and we were warned by an agent if we saw anyone dodging through the bushes to yell, that illegals were out there. I had visions of being ambushed and an illegal immigrant trying to make his getaway into the states with my horse - LOL. Ask for instructions before you get started as they may assume you know what you are doing, which happened to my husband. Oh and bring cash or check...no credit cards accepted which nobody cared to share with us over the phone upon reservation. Had to leave and return with cash. After our tailbones are back to normal I am sure we will think back on the experience more fondly.

Happy Trails moved to South Bay San Diego the new place is great even better trails and you can ride on BEACH !!!! over 70 horses same great staff!
