Yes, it's a theme restaurant, but at least the days of snarling doormen blocking entry to the uncool are over. Now the Hard Rock is friendlier than a new puppy, and the staff trip over each other trying to make diners happy. The food is typical theme restaurant fare, heavy on the burgers (which are quite good), and the ambiance is noisy (rock videos playing on many, many screens only add to the din), but this is a perfectly acceptable place to take the kids. The Atlanta location, in the downtown Cornerstone Building, boasts tons of memorabilia from rock legends with roots south of the Mason-Dixon Line.
