Yes, it's a theme restaurant, but at least the days of snarling doormen blocking entry to the uncool are over. Now the Hard Rock is friendlier than a new puppy, and the staff trip over each other trying to make diners happy. Located at Universal Studios Orlando in the CityWalk entertainment complex, this Hard Rock Cafe is the largest in the world. The food is typical theme restaurant fare, heavy on the burgers (which are quite good), and the ambiance is noisy (rock videos playing on many, many screens only add to the din), but this is a perfectly acceptable place to take the kids. Look for popular artists to stop by Hard Rock Live to perform special concerts.
