Yes, it's a theme restaurant, but at least the days of snarling doormen blocking entry to the uncool are over. Now the Hard Rock is friendlier than a new puppy, and the staff trip over each other trying to make diners happy.
The food is typical theme restaurant fare, heavy on the burgers (which are quite good), and the ambience is noisy (rock videos playing on many, many screens only add to the din), but this is a perfectly acceptable place to take the kids.

Park at the Pier 39 Garage across the street from the restaurant. Get your coupon validated for one hour free parking at lunch and two hours free parking after 6 pm for dinner.
