Afterschool and on Saturdays, HSA classes include Dance (ballet, modern, pointe, tap, and African), Music (Suzuki violin, flute, voice, African and Latin percussion, music theory, and ensemble work), Theatre (acting, directing, playwriting, and musical theatre) and the Visual Arts (ceramics, photography, printmaking, computer graphics, drawing, painting, and sculpture) for children (ages four and up), teens, and adults.

HSA also offers ARTScape, a six-week summer camp program for children ages four and up. Wee Arts campers (ages four to seven) can choose from classes in art, dance, acting, musical exploration, piano, violin, chorus, and percussion. Choices for Crescendo students (ages eight to 11) include guitar, piano, violin, woodwinds, percussion, chorus, acting, ballet, hip-hop, photography, and art. The Teen Arts program (ages 12-17) also offers filmmaking, photography, cartooning, graphic and web design, hip-hop dance, acting, and percussion. Camp runs five days a week from 8:30am to 5:30pm, with half day and extended morning and evening options available. Mornings are filled with arts electives and afternoon activities include swimming, park play, journal-writing, and field trips.

HSA's College Prep Program is a multi-year, comprehensive program that prepares dance, music, theatre, and visual arts students, ages 12-18, for admission to college. Auditions and portfolio review are required for College Prep admission and students must maintain a B average in their academic classes.
