Most of the time, Harmon's is a normal, full-service grocery store. Well, maybe not entirely normal - a model train runs around a track over the frozen food section, and you hear dogs bark and cats meow as you walk down the pet food isle. But every now and then the Salt Lake Astronomical Society holds a star party or a sun party in the parking lot.
getting there:
From the north, head south on 900 East. Past Fort Union Boulevard the road curves to become 700 East. Just past the curve, look for Harmon's on your left, on the corner of 7800 South and 700 East.
