Arguably one of the best children's shoe stores in Los Angeles, Harry Harris is a throwback to the old fashioned shoe store many of us grew up with. Plus they have the biggest balloons this side of the Rockies.

The prices are a bit more expensive then a typical chain store, but the individualized friendly service and incredible selection more than make up for that. You can count on the shoes being a perfect fit for your child whenever you make a purchase.

Harry Harris keeps a card on file for each child and notifies patrons every two months when it is time for a "free" fitting. The store also carries a wide array of accessories (umbrellas, boots, socks and slippers) and a complete inventory of corrective shoes, D.B. splints, and arches.

The best shop, have been to Beverly Hills and Encino. Both are great, sales people are patient and knowledgeable and very child friendly. And we left our toy cat there by mistake - realized it a week later and they kept it for us! :)

I drive into the Valley from Santa Clarita for Harry Harris. It is the only place that I will buy shoes for my children. I have been going there for 9 years and running.

I HAd THe Best Experience at Harry Harris In Santa Monica. I Am A First Time Mother And tHEy Gave Me So Much Knowledge and All The Beautiful Options. It Was A Little BusY After School ...BUt THe Patients Of The Employees Amazed me...even with Screaming Children and Indecisive Parents, THey Were Quick and Patient With everyone....Especially the MOTHERS. I have only been to the store in Encino. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. The last time I was there, we picked out a pair of New Balance shoes - I saw them a week later at a big shoe warehouse - for the same price! It is hard to find businesses with a "family" feeling. The service is great!

I've been to Harry Harris shoes in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills. In Beverly Hills they were profession and dealt well with the children - the shops are small, and get a little crowded. In Santa Monica they seemed to be irritated to have children in the shop. I took a number, and my two boys wanted one - I tried to give one of the boys my number, but they wanted their own. "Please don't play with them because we call them out all day" came a shout from across the shop. I explained that they weren't playing, they were taking a number of their own. They asked me to put one of the numbers back into the dispenser, so I did that, and left.

We have been going to this shoe store since I bought my daughter's first pair of shoes ~ six years ago. Great selection...however many cool styles sell out early. They can usually order them from the other stores. I would not shop anywhere else.
