Atlanta International Airport's passenger terminal complex consists of the connected North and South terminals, an international facility, five domestic concourses, and an underground transit mall.
Dining: Whether you're traveling or picking up from the airport, it's important to know that plenty of food choices or on hand for immediately hungry kids. In the atrium, Atlanta Bread Company, Domino's Pizza,Wendy's, and Edy's Ice Cream can be found. Individual concourses include choices like Burger King, Nathan's Hot Dogs, Popeye's, and TCBY Treats.
Of Interest for Kids: Visually, the airport is intriguing for kids wtih exhibits on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., an exhibit entitled The History of Paper, puppets from around the world, and artwork created by school children from Georgia. In the entryways of the North and South terminals are large murals and suitcase sculptures. There are two youth galleries inside, one at the T-Gates centerpoint and another in the East Wing of Concourse E, and a wealth of other artworks throughout the complex. The Kids Club, in essence, kid-friendly pages on the main website, can entertain and prepare children for an airport adventure.
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) station is located inside the airport's main terminal at the west end. Other transportation available from the terminal west end includes: eight on-airport rental car companies with bus service; three off-airport rental car companies with bus service; 12 scheduled bus service operators to destinations throughout metropolitan Atlanta area; 22 scheduled bus service operators to destinations in Georgia and surrounding states; 86 limousine operators; 18 hotel/motel shuttle bus operators and 300 taxicabs.
