My kids loved playing at the Discovery Center. I liked that it was safe and clean but best of all that it was educational. My kids didn't even know they were learning because they were having so much fun. The staff was really friendly and helpful. When my daughter didn't want to leave they helped me get her out by walking with her and giving her a hand stamp.
the center itself was in the middle of no where and it was very hard to find, it did not look like a safe place to be going to, my son looked scared. the environment the children played in was not as clean as it could be, there was stains on the carpet, the toys were sticky, things were not that nicely kept, some were missing pieces and some were really damaged or broken. the atmosphere is not brightly lit in some places nor was the air circulated well, my son was coughing a lot. the workers did not really help me when i asked questions, they answered it rudely and not specifically; it was like playing 21 questions. i think the service of the people are really fake, at one moment there all smiley when you enter then when you get in they turn sour. it bugs me how my son even picked up on that. he asked me "mommy, why's that lady so mad now." and "why is her smile so stuck." the price isn't that good either, i would've rather took my son to the park or beach. my son got bored in about 20 minutes and we got lost in the exhibits finding the exit. i would not recommend this to my girlfriends, i would say take your child to the park or beach, being free does not mean lesser quality. at least it wasn't wasted here. it was not worth my time at all or my money.
