About Hawaiian Falls
A trip to Hawaiian Falls brings relief from the Texas sweltering summer temperatures. This waterpark provides just the right combination of pools, slides, and manufactured shade for a fun day out with the family.
Before heading out to the park, plan to arrive early because the lines can be extremely long. Or better yet, purchase advance tickets online and avoid the lines completely. Once in the park, make a beeline for a table, chaise lounge, or any squatting spot under some shade. These highly coveted spots are prevalent, but are snatched up in a jiffy.
Cabanas are available and can be reserved in advance. They come at a premium price of $100/day and complete with water, a locker, radio, shade, and two chaise lounges.
Coolers brought from home are welcome. The restaurant menu consists of hot dogs, hamburgers, and corn dogs.
Kids of all ages can frolic in the wave pool or in the Kona Kooler lazy river that circles the park. Judging from the long line, the Hawaiian Halfpipe is the most popular attraction. This two-person inner tube ride goes up one side and down the other. There is a height requirement for this ride.
The Flyin' Hawaiian is a speed slide that starts at 62 feet up. Right next to this slide is the Waikiki Wipeout, a 65-foot, freefall body slide.
Two inner tube slides, the Monsoon and Typhoon, are popular, too. However, during the peak hours of the afternoon, inner tubes are hard to come by, making the wait even longer.
The Keiki Kove provides the little ones with a jungle structure complete with smaller slides. Everyone can play on this water playground.
Birthday parties, in the form of luaus of course, are available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The Birthday Party Luau includes admission to the park all day; a reserved party area; birthday host; Hawaiian-themed goodie bags for each guest; a special gift for birthday child; a choice of hamburgers, hotdogs, or corn dogs and chips and drinks. This price is $13.99 (plus tax) per person.
