about Heart of America Shakespeare Festival:

Since 1993, the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival has brought the Bard to Kansas City's Southmoreland Park every summer. The shows offer lively pre-show entertainment from storytellers, jugglers, and puppeteers before the tragedy (and some seasons comedy) begins. The company also offers a variety of summer daycamps at various locations around the metro area beginning at age 5 and going on up to age 18. The camps help encourage young people to explore the theater and make them excited for Shakespeare.
