This small stone theater is home to a children's production group that is first-rate. A refurbished grist mill, this quaint setting complete with babbling brook, wood plank seats, and stone walls, adds charm and excitment to your theater trip.
Shows are primarily
children's classics and fairytales, true to the story, with little adaptation. Productions change frequently; check the theater's
website for details. Shows are Saturdays at 11am and are under an hour in length.
The box office staff and ushers are helpful. Restrooms are located downstairs, just off the foyer, but do not have diaper-changing facilities.
Hedgerow Theatre also hosts a
Theater School with a classroom approach that formalizes the rehearsal process (artists of varying experience learning from each other), without the pressure of a final product to deliver and with the freedom for anyone to become involved. Youth classes )for kids ages six and up) include Teen Acting, Teen Scene Study, Children's classes, and Musical Theater.
Summer camp programs are also available. Call 610.566.4034 for details about classes and camps.
