Heights Parent Center (HPC) operates with the goal of reducing stress and increasing success of all families raising children. While
HPC's operations are centered in the Heights area,
HPC serves families throughout the Greater Cleveland area. To that end,
HPC operates a
toy lending library, offers
parenting classes, support groups, presentations, and creates opportunities for families to play and learn together, through free and low cost classes and drop-in sessions. Drop-In sessions are offered throughout the week, year round, in a variety of formats and times. Programs designed for children from birth through age five include the Toddler Lunch Club, Literacy Playroom, and
after school programs are also available for older children. A full programming schedule is available at
www.heightsparentcenter.org.
HPC also maintains a
parenting resource library at the center, where parents can borrow - for free - a wide variety of books and audio tapes on parenting subjects.
HPC operates the
Bargain Box Thrift Shop, open to all each Saturdays from 9am to noon inside St. Alban's Church, 2555 Euclid Heights Boulevard, at the corner of Edgehill Drive, in Cleveland Heights. Some adult clothing is available at Bargain Box Thrift Shop, but children's clothing and toys comprise the majority of items available.
Volunteers are always welcome at Bargain Box and at
HPC. To volunteer, call the center at 216.321.0079 or send an e-mail to
volunteer@heightsparentcenter.org.
