Helping Individuals Succeed (H.I.S) offers etiquette and dining classes for children ages eight to 18. Some of the topics covered in the etiquette skills classes includes showing respect for self and others, being socially savvy, greetings and introductions, grooming and hygiene, and nutrition and exercise. Some of the topics covered in the dining skills class include setting and navigating a formal place setting and table, eating most difficult foods, American and Continental eating styles, being a gracious guest and host, and writing and responding to invitations and thank you notes. The etiquette skills class runs six weeks and the dining skills class runs four weeks, with a final session held at a fine dining establishment.
