Renton's
Henry Moses Aquatic Center is one of the few of places where area residents can
swim outside. It offers tons of play value at prices that are significantly lower than
Wild Waves, although it isn't nearly as large.
The
Henry Moses Aquatic Center features a lap pool and 9,000-square-foot leisure pool with a wave machine, two slides, lazy river, and
water-spray play structure.
Free inner tubes are available for rides down the 245-foot-long orange tube slide, or for a float in the lazy river, a winding water channel that features jet currents.
A few
rules to know: kids must be 48" tall to go on the slides, and no lap-sitting is allowed. Children under four feet tall must ride the lazy river with an adult. Kids eight and under must be supervised by someone at least 16 years of age; toddlers and babies under three must wear swim diapers; and lawn chairs/water toys (except for Coast Guard-approved lifejackets) are a no-no.
Small outside coolers are OK, but no glass or alcohol is allowed. An on-site cafe offers light snacks. The pool offers swim lessons.
