Herff has been helping students reach for knowledge and high achievement as a part of the San Antonio Independent School District for over 100 years. The programs currently offered at Herff include: Pre-kindergarten, Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD), Special Resources, Gifted and Talented, Main Stream and Two-way Immersion. Herff is a 2010 TEA Recognized campus and currently reaching for Exemplary. The school offers a variety of after school activities for our students including Performance Club, Garden Club, Art Club, Choir, Chess Club, Media Club, Stamping Club, PALS and Girl Scouts. Several Members of the staff have received National Board Certification and many of the teachers are presenters for the school District. The teacher leadership and the staff experience in the field of education are very strong on our campus and this is indicated by the fact that more than one-third of the staff has at least one master?s degree. Parents are a major part of our success at Herff not only because of the active PTA but also because of its participation in the United Way Grant. Through this grant Herff is partnered with the PRESA Community Center which has resulted in a great increase in parent participation at the school.
