Turn-of-the-century farming on the Blackland Prairies of North Texas is captured in this interpretive museum of agricultural history. The Heritage Farmstead Museum features a four-acre complex with row crops, gardens, a windmill, and a 1891 Victorian farmhouse with 12 original outbuildings.
Guided house tours by costumed docents are available year-round, but the schedule varies seasonally. Visit the website or call for current tour hours.
Many kid-friendly events are held throughout the year, including a Fridays at the Farmstead program for preschoolers, workshops, and summer camps for children ages three to 12.
Family Memberships are available for $65 per year.
