Heritage Square is an outdoor entertainment, theater, and shopping village with a Victorian theme. The
Alpine Slide is one of the park's most visited attractions.
The Amusement Park features Slick Track Go-Karts (new in 2010), bumper boats, paddle boats, the Heritage Rio Golden Train, an arcade, and several carnival-type rides. Rides tend to appeal most to children from age three to eight; the Dragon Roller Coaster, Ferris Wheel, Scrambler, and Tilt-a-Whirl might appeal to slightly older children. Pony Rides, Western-themed shows, and magic shows take place at the Amusement Park on most weekends.
Heritage Square has been an entertainment destination in the Denver area since 1971, and as such, its Storybook Victorian architecture and grounds have seen some wear. Attractions and shops are individually owned and operated; some storefronts stand vacant and in a minor state of disrepair. Visitors can stroll the streets of
Heritage Square and browse the shops at no charge. Most of the other activities have an additional charge similar to a traveling carnival.
