Heritage Square, a one-acre urban park in the heart of downtown Orlando, is a popular venue for festivals and downtown events.
The decor of the park - which is situated directly in front of the
Orange County Regional History Center reflects the natural history of Florida through the use of native plants and trees. Whimsical art and sculpture - shich as life-size bronze alligators and a 15-foot sculpture of a Florida postcard - adds additional detail.
On hot days, kids love the park's interactive splash fountain, which can be turned on for cool waterplay. During cold weather, or a park event, the water can be turned off so the paved area can be used as a performance space.
