For older kids interested in costumes, history, and architecture, this open-air museum consists of eight Victorian era buildings, rescued from demolition and moved to this little plot of land tucked-in next to the Pasadena Freeway.
A railway depot and three houses have been renovated and furnished. Passionate guides in turn-of-the-century costumes lead small groups through these buildings, a yet-to-be renovated church, and an amazing octagonal house.
A small shop sells Victoriana, books and gifts. The shop also sells soda, water, and some snack foods. Families can picnic on the grassy lawn, and it is big enough for a bit of running around.
The bathrooms are clean, although quite small; some have the old-fashioned chain flushers.
