Small class size and beautiful facilities. It's a very happy place with lovely, bright, well-mannered girls. There is a warmth and community feeling there that I found very appealing. We hope we are lucky enough to send our daughter there when she finishes preschool.

I have been on the kindergarten circuit and have to say that I was most impressed with the young women I saw speak at this school. There is no category for example at this school like there are at others, which by the way are untrue, I went to Brearley where everyone I spoke to made me feel like the girls were lesbian bias and it's simply a bunch of nonsense and untrue. But at Hewitt, the only thing I'd heard is it is the best kept secret in town and I was incredibly impressed. Their senior girls were articulate, bright, kind, gracious, and so well mannered and well balanced. I was really not expecting to like it because they don't have the facilities of other girls schools or co-eds period but on the whole, the students we met, far out-shined any others we'd met in the total package. Fingers crossed we get in, it is the hot ticket this year at our nursery school.

Hewitt has maintained its focus on the student, but has dramatically improved academically in the last 5 years.
