The
Hialeah YMCA offers afterschool, camp, and sports programs for children.
Afterschool is offered from 2pm-6pm Monday through Friday at six elementary and middle schools local to the center. Cost for the program is $29 per week (requires a $30 per child per year
membership fee). Children receive homework help, do arts & crafts, and play sports. Before school care is also offered at the same schools from 7am-8:30am, Monday through Friday, for $15 per week.
Summer camp runs from June 14th through August 21st. 2001. The program includes field trips and park activities at
Amelia Earhart Park or Westland Park, both of which are in the surrounding community. Charges for camp are $70 per week for members and $90 per week for nonmembers. Sessions take place Monday through Friday, 7:30am-6pm for 41/2-14 year olds.
School vacation days are also covered by camp activities.
Sports programs offered through the center include martial arts, basketball, cheerleading, and soccer.
Piano lessons are also offered through this center.
Swimming lessons are offered in the summer months for ages 6 months through adult. For more information about these programs contact the website or the phone number above. All programs are eligible for financial assistance.
