High Meadows is an authorized International Baccalaureate World School, offering the Primary Years Programme. High Meadows is one of only two private schools in the state of Georgia that currently offers the program, and the school is accredited by SAIS-SACS and NAEYC. The school, located on 40 acres of woods in Roswell, offers a hands-on, interdisciplinary approach to learning, a low student-teacher ratio and multi-age classrooms. Known for an award-winning environmental science program, High Meadows also has a variety of enrichment programs covering the arts, music, technoloy, library sciences, and physical education. The school's summer day camp for boys and girls ages four to 13 is one of the most popular in the metro area. It offers traditional, nature-based fun focusing on self-improvement, non-competitive achievement, environmental awareness, and personal responsibility. Many counselors were students of High Meadows School, and former campers, which speaks highly of the loyalty the High Meadows culture inspires. Age-appropriate activities include swimming, pony rides, arts & crafts, archery, woodworking, nature, American traditions, canoeing, ropes course, drama, and more. Transportation is available from north metro areas.
