And it's a beautiful Metro Park! The appropriately named Highbanks offers great views, with steep shale bluffs that tower over the Olentangy River.
Much of the park's 1,157 acres are wooded; 11 miles of trails beckon hikers; there are also 13 picnic shelters, several of which can be reserved in advance by calling the park offices.
Highbanks is also home to Dragonfly Day Camp, which can be reserved by organized youth groups (for more info, call 614.508.8111).
Local history buffs may wish to visit the Pool Family Gravesites, located inside the park.
