about Hill Aerospace Museum:

Founded in 1981 as a part of the United States Air Force Heritage Program, Hill Aerospace Museum currently exhibits over 80 military aircraft, missiles, and aerospace vehicles both on the grounds and inside the Major General Rex A. Hadley Gallery and the Lindquist-Stewart Fighter Gallery. The museum collection also includes a wide variety of ordnance, an assortment of aerospace ground equipment, military vehicles, uniforms, and thousands of other historical artifacts.

The Aerospace Center for Education (ACE) Learning Center is a dedicated classroom space for kids of all ages to learn about flight. The Learning Center features several simulators, including an actual F-16 cockpit in which visitors can "fly." The Learning Center is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings from 9am to 12n, or by appointment.

A variety of educational programs are hosted both on site and off site. The Plane Talk Lecture Series, offered each fall and winter, is all about airplanes and the people who fly them; a schedule of speakers is posted on the museum's website. There is also a Preschoolers Story Time held each Tuesday and Wednesday morning by appointment only. Call or check the museum's website for more information about any of the educational offerings at the Hill Aerospace Museum.

The Museum Gift Shop sells items such as clothing, books, toys, hats, cards, etc. It has the same hours of operation as the museum.

The Museum offers a volunteer and an intern program. The intern program is for students of college age. Volunteers of any age are welcome. People with education backgrounds are especially needed to help in the Learning Center. The commitment requirement is four hours per week. There is a need for volunteers all days of the week.

Hill Aerospace Museum is open daily except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
