Hilton Universal City and Towers is situated on six and a half acres high on a hill above the Los Angeles entertainment district at the very entrance to Universal Studios, Hollywood, and Citywalk. Every room of the hotel offers commanding views of the Hollywood Hills, San Fernando Valley, and Universal Studios, and the hotel's proximity to the park and to the rest of LA makes it one of our top city picks.

Special features include oversized (and we do mean oversized) guest rooms and suites, heated outdoor pool and whirlpool (the whirlpool could almost be a pool itself, and it's a welcome ammenity after a day walking and riding), health club, spa, indoor parking ($17 nightly fee), non-smoking floors, and accessible rooms for the disabled.

The hotel restaurant, Cafe Sierra, offers Chinese, Continental, and California cuisines in a light and breezy California atmosphere. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights feature a Seafood Buffet.

24 hour room service includes a very reasonable and well-thought-out Children's Menu - our kids were thrilled with the small milk shakes ($2.75 each), which made a lovely night time snack. Also available are PB&J sandwiches, grilled cheese, and breakfast, served from 6am-11am.
