The recently-completed Hindu Temple of Minnesota - raised in an exurban cornfield - is the largest of its kind in North America. The centerpiece of the facility, a huge sunlit prayer hall, has decorated pillars, polished granite floors, and 21 ornate "temple-within-a-temple" shrines, the largest of which is dedicated to Sri Vishnu.
Two massive hand-made brass-covered copper doors mark the entrance, and the building houses an auditorium and dining hall, with plans for a gift shop in the works.
Temple events, programs, and holiday festivities are open to the public.
