about Hollywood Farmers' Market:
Farmers' Markets abound throughout Los Angeles, from the famous Original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax, to the ever-growing local markets throughout the city.
Selling everything from fresh-baked breads, farm-fresh vegetables and fruit, to honey, nuts, flowers, plants, and crafts, these markets are a fun, inexpensive way to while away a few hours with the kids, while loading up on seasonal produce for dinner.
Many markets feature organically grown produce; look for signs and ask the sellers for details about their growing methods.
tips:
After the market, stop in at the Frances Howard Goldwyn Library, and go upstairs to the children's room for some cool and quiet time.
getting there:
Take the Sunset Blvd exit off the 101 Freeway, head west, and turn right on Ivar, OR take the Vine Street exit off the 101 Freeway, head south and turn right on Hollywood Blvd. Parking is available on surrounding surface streets, or in the lot on Ivar, south of Selma.
