This comfortable and popular Los Feliz restaurant rivals Mother Goose in its emphasis on pies.
A mouth-watering selection includes lemon meringue, egg custard, fresh strawberry, coconut, chocolate, apple, blueberry, peach, pecan, and more. All are available by the slice for a treat at the restaurant, or as whole pies to take home.
The rest of the menu is basic American food; it's a little pricey, but the portions are enormous. Choose from a full range of sandwiches, salads, burgers, chili dishes, and chicken and steak entrees. Most cost between $6 and $12; a children's menu offers burgers, hot dogs, or pasta, with a drink, for $5.
Breakfast is served all day, and it's delicious. Try the waffles, the pancakes, or the huevos rancheros.
High chairs and boosters are available, for seating at large booths or tables. You can also sit outside on a patio, equipped with heaters for the colder months, and umbrellas for the hotter months.

The food is okay but the service is fabulous. If you want a diner with the most and best pies in town, come here. The service is super, which makes you want to come back every time. The waiters and waitresses are always happy to serve you. If you go ask for Alexia, Kim, Sylvia, and Nery, (the hardest workers and staff in town).
I love the bananna cream pie! It is the best! I make a point of getting pies on birthdays and special occasions. I moved to Utah and there are no House of Pies. I visited Los Angeles in September and had two Bananna Cream Pie twice in one week.
