about Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome:

This 65,000-seat downtown arena hosts concerts and special events, and is home to the Minnesota Vikings - and former home to the Twins and University of Minnesota Gophers, which both have new stadiums of their own now (Target Field and TCF Bank Stadium, respectively). Local and regional sports competitions also play the field at the Metrodome, and from November to April, the concourses turn into the Rollerdome, welcoming inline skaters in from the cold.

Diaper bags may be searched upon entry, and strollers are not permitted in the arena during pro sports events. A family restroom is located in the MSFC office on the lower concourse, by the concession stand across from Section 118.

One-hour tours of the facility are offered April through November at 11am on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Tours start at Gate F, and cost $3 per person. Call 612.335.3309 to confirm specific dates; tours are suspended when the building is booked for day-use.

getting there:

North of Elliot Park, with easy access from Highway 35W. Parking ramps abound in this vicinity, including options on 6th Street, 5th Street, and Park Avenue.
