My family loves this place! we are always here having a blast! everyone is so nice and helpful. The owner is very friendly and open to everyone. it's a charming place, very family oriented. We love spending a Sunday there with our family.

Still laughing at the first review-- I'll second that disregard. It's common for people to think that just because you can see the pipes the surface is "bumpy." It's not at all, you have world champions and contenders alike skating here on a regular basis because they see in this rink what a banal bystander cannot-- something truly special. I write this rink as a parent of an ice skater as well, and having accumulated more than my fair share of lounging hours, I can safely say this rink is as warm and comforting as it was fifty years ago at its peak. On that note, fifty years-- you got that Julia19? It's been around for long enough-- it's not going anywhere. In fact, thirteen days mark the one year anniversary of that review and guess what... they're still standing tall. As for customer service, I don't understand how they can get any better. The girls behind the desk knew our names after the first two weeks, and they go out of their way to make it easier for us when we're running late or flustered otherwise. The owner is always good for nice conversation and the owner of the pro-shop is the best to come to about purchasing equipment. Yes, cosmetically they're not perfect-- hell, I salute them for their historic preservation. But their family orientation, their convenient times and prices, and customer service keeps us coming back as loyal customers, and make no mistake... by no means am I the only one.

Great place, I love it. Disregard the first review-- this place really is a hidden gem. I used to come here with my husband for free skate on our date nights, and we were so impressed by the service and the family-operated ambience and comfort of the place, we signed up my six year old and three year olds for the public skating lessons.
Coaches are wonderful. The workers in the rental room and office are always friendly and helpful, and the few times I've spoken to the owner, he's been extraordinary at helping me out of tight spots with scheduling or payments. Very personal and easygoing.

Yes, the rink is not olympic size, it's on the rather small side-- but come on. It's been around since my mother was a child, if not longer, and they do their best to keep it in the best of shape.

And remember, our children aren't anywhere near as high brow or jaded as us adults-- all they need is a great atmosphere and they have a great time. I wouldn't trade this rink for one of the other rinks, where I feel like my kids will be nameless, faceless, and just another number.

My daughter took ice skating lessons here for about a year and a half and loved it. The coaches are great and she learned a lot. As a pervious poster said, the rink is not in the greatest repair and we were not huge fans of their open skating sessions, but the lessons we did were great and we would do it again!

I will NEVER go back here. This is a dilapidated ice skating building. It's only half size and half of that is totally unusable. The cooling pipes from under the ice make a lot of it bumpy.

There is no customer service. I'm sure this place will be torn down in about a year or so and is on its last breath.

I would highly suggest looking at the rink before paying. They you'll know what you're getting into (and what I'm talking about as WORST rink ever)
