The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the Best Place for Family Bonding in Pittsburgh, Idlewild Park, located approximately 50 miles east of Pittsburgh, is Pennsylvania's oldest amusement park.
The facility features seven themed areas with a wide variety of rides, including SoakZone, a large water park, and Story Book Forest, a special section for young kids that provides attractions and children's book characters just for the wee ones. (Note: Story Book Forest is open from 10am to 6pm.)
Numerous food options are available throughout Idlewild; a complete list of venues and menu options is available online.
