Despite its name and menu boasts, IHOP (also known as the International House of Pancakes) serves food that's as American as apple pie - that is, if you were to scoop the filling out of that pie and plop it down on a short stack.

Popular all-day breakfast items share the menu with burgers, salads, sandwiches, and meat-and-potatoes dishes. The kid's menu is appealing, and the portions are filling.

Try to avoid weekend mornings. It's a zoo; waits can be long...and kids don't get the crayons and coloring menu until they're seated!
