About IKEA
Sweden's favorite home furnishings store has landed in the Bay Area. And the only deterrent to getting inexpensive children's furniture is the crowd. If you persevere - and plot your trip for any day but Saturday and Sunday - the pay-off is not just simple, contemporary furniture, but high-quality toys as well. No surprise that the store favors the wooden variety.
While you shop, your kids can hang out in designated play areas around the store. They're invited to touch any product and the in-store restaurant serves up lunch and snacks when they're hungry. There is also a free in-store babysitting area for children who are out of diapers but under 48" tall.

Think about visiting the IKEA web site instead of its physical facility; entry is at least guaranteed.
Getting There
Take the 80E/580W to the Ashby Ave/Shellmound Street exit. Make immediate right on Shellmound Street ramp. Continue on Shellmound Street. Or take 80W/580E to Powell Strret exit. Go east on Powell Street. Turn right on Christie Avenue and then right on Shellmound Street. Follow the signs for MAIN PARKING for the new and improved parking north of the store.
The 4-level parking garage provides 1800 parking spaces for visitors.

- We love the furniture ikea Scandinavian-style for their price, their quality, their modernity. We use children furniture, kitchen and living room and after 3 mooving including one from France, the furniture is still in good condition. We were surprised by the strength of kitchen cabinets which have resiste the time and our three boys who have not menage drawers
