If it's possible to have a pleasant shopping experience with children, then it's going to happen at IKEA! From the parking spots reserved for families with small children to the diapers stocked in the bathrooms, IKEA doesn't miss any detail in it's attempt to lure families into the store. There is a supervised play facility for children (from 37" through 54" tall), where you can drop the kids off for 45 minutes while shopping, there are small play houses in each section of the store, plus a ball pit for the little ones. The restaurant has microwaves for bottle warming, bibs, and baby food - plus a play area. Kids meals range from $0.99 mac and cheese to $1.99 Swedish meatballs and fries.
Entertaining the children aside, IKEA has a huge range of furniture and accessories, plus some toys, and really reasonable prices. I particularly like the colorfulness and playfulness of the children's furniture (and so does my daughter!).
