about Imaginarium Science Discovery Center:

The Imaginarium, now part of the Anchorage Museum, is designed to be a "living laboratory." Kids can stand inside a bubble, watch a space show in the planetarium, touch reptiles and marine animals, or learn the principles of physics through play.

Summer camp programs offer eight weeks of full-day camps for students entering grades 1-3 and 4-6.

Homeschooling programs are also available.

tips:

During the summer, the Imaginarium and the museum are open daily, from 9am-6pm.

I think that over $30 for 2 adults and a child is a bit much to ask for what the Imaginarium offers. I realize you get use of the rest of the museum, too, but we don't with our 3 year old. I guess you'd have to become a museum member for Imaginarium use to make sense.

I was a little disappointed at the size of this place. My 2 year old didn't have much to do there. It was interesting for my 6 year old. We spent about 2 hours there. We did pretty much everything twice.
