about Independence Oaks County Park:

At Independence Oaks, families can enjoy picnicking, hiking, fishing, camping, swimming, geocaching, and nature study.

The park has nearly 10 miles of marked nature, bike/blade, and ski trails, as well as ball fields, sand volleyball courts, playground equipment, and horseshoes pits. A wheelchair-accessible (and stroller-accessible) gazebo shelter allows a picturesque view of Crooked Lake.

In the winter, the park offers cross-country skiing, ski rental, ice skating, ice fishing, and warming shelters.

The Lewis E. Wint Nature Center is also located at Independence Oaks.
