About Indiana State Museum
The Indiana State Museum offers a hands-on overview of the best of Indiana. Constructed from all-Indiana materials - including limestone, sandstone, steel, brick and glass - the building itself is a work of art. Its exterior features icons representing each of the state's 92 counties on the exterior. Inside, visitors can explore Indiana's past, present, and future through artistic, cultural, and scientific exhibits.
Located in White River State Park, the Indiana State Museum is filled with three floors of Core Galleries telling the story of Indiana.

- What a surprise! I had no idea we had such a beautiful museum downtown, and the kids and I all had a good time, finding things we were each interested in. We also ate in the LS Ayres TeaRoom, which is a good boost of nostalgia and creamy chicken soup!
